German tennis player Alexander Zverev is training at the academy of 22-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal in Mallorca. As the source notes, in the future the uncle of the former world number one Toni Nadal will become Zverev’s senior coach, and Rafael will join the German player’s team as an additional mentor.
The 28-year-old Alexander Zverev is a winner of 26 ATP doubles and singles tournaments and a two-time champion of the ATP Final Tournament (2018 and 2021). He has played in three Grand Slam finals: at the US Open – 2020, Roland Garros – 2024 and the Australian Open – 2025, but lost all of them.
Currently, the German tennis player is third in the world ranking.
Since the beginning of the season Alexander Zverev won only one title at the ATP 500 BMW Open by FWU AG in Munich. He lost in the first round of Wimbledon, which raised questions about his form.
