Seventh-seeded Holger Rune (Denmark) has advanced to the fourth round of the ATP Masters 1000 Cincinnati hard court tennis tournament with a prize money of 9,193,540 USD. The Dane defeated 28th seed American player Alex Michelsen by 2-0 (7:6(4), 6:3) in an hour and 35 minutes.
Holger Rune came from 1:3 down in the first set to tie the match and win the first set after a tiebreak. In the second set, he started more convincingly, taking a 3:0 lead and converting his third match point for the final 6:3.
In a fight to reach the quarterfinals, Holger Rune will face 10th-seeded Frances Tiafoe. The American tennis player prevailed over 20th-seeded Ugo Humbert (France) by 2-0 (6:4, 6:4) in a match that lasted an hour and 24 minutes. Frances Tiafoe trailed 0:3 and 1:4 in the first set before making a great run of five consecutive games for 6:4. He led 3:1 and 5:3 in the second set to reach the winning 6:4.
